2 Unlimited is back in town! Goodbye Ray and Anita, welcome Marjon and Romy... So this time two female singers, who have the duty to equal the successes of their predecessors. The plans are big, but what if 2 Unlimited doesn't score?
'We don't see how it could go wrong', the girls say. 'My life is like a fairy tale' the blonde Romy says full of disbelief. She starts to tell in a fairy-like way how the new 2 Unlimited started: 'Once upon a lovely sunny day', she smiles, 'the sky was blue and Jean Paul de Coster thought: " Let's do some auditions!" 150 girls came by, 50 in London and 100 in Belgium. Also Romy and Marjon!'
How they knew about these auditions? 'I've heard it through a television programme', says Marjon. 'Before that, I've been in blues and jazz bands from the age of sixteen. I actually still do that when I have the time, but now they have to go looking for a new singer. But I do like a jam session or two. And songs that give people goose bumps.'
